Manaslu trek is suitable for those who want to explore isolated valley on Himalayas. Tsum is hidden valley of happiness next to the Manaslu circuit.

It’s a good choice for regular walkers. Previous mountain experience is not required. High level of fitness is most and hiker most be willing to explore cultural aspects of mountain people rather than himalayas view only. There are centuries old monasteries on these region. We categorized this as a Strenuous Grade Trek on the basis of the following factors:

  • Walking Time

In average walking time for the strenuous grade treks range in between 6 to 8 Hr with couple of days up to 12 Hr walking. Number of days can be maximum up to 25 days and rest days are included. Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley walking time doesn’t exceed this.

  • Altitude

Highest elevation to encounter under strenuous grade trek is 5500 m. You will scale 5169 m approximately at Larkya La Pass.

  • Terrain

Terrain during strenuous grade trek is the mix of well travelled trails and rough as well as rocky exposed sections. Expect steep ascent and descent over mountain pass with permanent snow level.

  • Remoteness

Normally strenuous grade treks are remote in nature with long distance from nearest motor able road. Roads are under construction on Manaslu on lower belt.
