On this page we will try to explain you in detail about necessary permits for Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley Trek. It is little time consuming and out of date system to obtain the permits. Government rules state minimum two trekkers, a guide and local operator to obtain these necessary permit.

Permit cost is expensive during the month of September, October and November. This is the strong contender for best trekking month for Manaslu and Tsum. Read more about best time to trek.

Necessary permit for Manaslu and Tsum

  • Special restricted permit for Manaslu and Tsum
  • ACAP and MCAP for Manaslu Circuit
  • MCAP for Tsum Valley (No need of ACAP if you are just trekking Tsum Valley)

Permit Cost for Manaslu and Tsum

September – November

  • For Manaslu USD 70 Per Person for first week and extra USD 10 Per Person Per Day
  • For Tsum Valley USD 35 Per Person for first eight days and another USD 35 Per Person for another eight days

December – August

  • For Manaslu USD 50 Per Person for first week and extra USD 7 Per Person Per Day
  • For Tsum Valley USD 25 Per Person for first eight days and another USD 25 Per Person for another eight days

Regardless of month and number of days conservation area entry permit cost is always same.

  • Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP) USD 20
  • Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) USD 20

Restricted region start from Jagat and end in Dharapani. For Tsum Valley Jagat is mark for both start and end of restricted region. Here is a map, have a look at the restricted region.
